The Kandyan kingdom holds religious, cultural and historical value as the “Temple of the sacred tooth relic” is located in the heart of Kandy city at the royal palace complex which houses the relic of the tooth of Buddha. Visits to the adjoining temples of “Malwathu and Asgiri as well as the  hindu temples of “Vishnu, Katharagama, Pathinni and Naatha, the museum along with a walk around the Kandy lake, central market and the city center will make a perfect get over for exploring  the kandyan culture and its heritage.
